HS4U’s Work Package 2 about Project Requirements’ Elicitation and Architecture, achieved important developments in the past few months. It aims to highlight existing framework conditions, system failures (gap analysis and mitigating challenges), identify best practices, methods and tools to develop scenarios for the operation of the Collective Digital Framework (CDF) and the HS4U architecture.

Starting with the HS4U scenarios, project partners created the 3rd draft of the respective report under which HS4U will operate to define health hazards that can appear on the ship but also how they affect passengers and crew both when the ship is docked and on route. These scenarios include a list of preventive, detection and mitigation measures. The HS4U scenarios structure was finalised through technical brainstorming workshops between all WP2 partners. In parallel, progress was made on the creation of the HS4U architecture. Indeed, multiple HS4U components such as the Collaborative Digital Framework (CDF), HS4U technologies, the Virus Detection System (VDS) and the demo space were included in the draft HS4U architecture based on the mappings of existing framework conditions, challenges, system failures and gap analysis and the creation of the HS4U scenario inputs.

HS4U’s WP2 next steps are the the HS4U architecture including the data model of the CDF that will be used in Work Package 4 for the Digital Tools Creation.
