On January 21st and 22nd, 2025, the HS4U consortium met for the project’s 4th and final General Assembly in Malta, organised by our partner EPSILON.
Day 1: Project Advancements and Technology Discussions
The first day opened with updates on multiple Work Packages. Representatives from WP1, WP2, and WP3 shared their progress, emphasising significant milestones and key deliverables. One of the highlights was HYDRUS’ presentation of Deliverable D2.3, which detailed the HS4U architecture, setting the stage for upcoming implementations.
Following a coffee break, the discussions shifted to an in-depth workshop on HS4U technologies. WP3 partners examined the project’s current state, anticipated results from pilot testing, and the establishment of KPIs to measure success.
In the afternoon, Task 3.2 updates were presented by UTH, UNIC, CAM, and AETHON, offering deeper details into their contributions to the project. The day wrapped up with a WP4 session featuring a demonstration of the CDF platform, followed by discussions on its functionalities and its role within HS4U’s broader framework.
Day 2: Pilot Execution and Risk Evaluation
The second day began with an update from WP5, led by LEDRA, which provided the groundwork for a detailed discussion on the pilot activity execution plan under Task 5.3. The conversation focused on ensuring a seamless transition from prior WP2 developments. Additionally, LEDRA and TSIKIS introduced the Robot Cabin design, a crucial component of HS4U’s technological advancements.
Later in the morning, a workshop on KPI testing for T5.3 pilot activities took place, emphasising the evaluation of usability, efficiency, impact, and safety. This was followed by a discussion on the design and planning of retrofitting activities at the Technological Cultural Park of Lavrio, concluding with an update on the demo implementation roadmap.
During the afternoon session, WP6 representatives reviewed dissemination activities, ensuring the effective communication of project outcomes. Additionally, exploitation activities were examined, focusing on expanding the reach and long-term sustainability of HS4U solutions.
The General Assembly closed with an update on the project’s risk matrix, where potential risks were identified, and mitigation strategies were refined. The final session explored possible collaboration avenues with the Healthy Sailing project, further strengthening HS4U’s cross-sector partnerships.
Looking Ahead
With steady progress across all work packages, the HS4U project is on track to achieve its objectives. Stay tuned for updates on our upcoming pilot activities at the Technological Park of Lavrio, taking place from May 7th to 9th, 2025.
