By M30 of the HS4U timeline, significant progress has been made in the “Digital Tools Creation” activities which are carried out as part of Work Package 4 (WP4). More specifically, WP4 aims to develop

  • A user interface for the CDF;
  • Scalable data ingestion pipelines to collect real-time inputs, with tools for cleaning and transforming diverse data types;
  • An interoperability framework for seamless interaction between the ship’s IoT devices and actuators and the AI models within the CDF.

Up to Month 30, the first version of the StreamHandler platform, which enables seamless integration and communication between software components within the CDF through its connectors, producers, and consumers, is now available. CDF environment has been prepared and designed in alignment with the identified user requirements. Additionally, the development of frontend/backend components and services (e.g., notifications, ship drawings visualization) in alignment with the HS4U architecture has been completed.

Technical partners are now focused on delivering the first functional version of the CDF, scheduled for release in March, and will subsequently be validated in piloting activities. Furthermore, as part of the Integration of the passenger model, IoT/edge devices of the robot cabin and pilots, and test case development task, the first version of the sensor monitoring dashboard for retrieving data from the CDF has already been released.
