Work Package 5 initiated its works from the beginning of the HS4U project and has been actively engaged in all WPs where its involvement has been required. As part of its work plan, numerous actions have been undertaken in terms of providing input for the HS4U scenarios. In addition, WP5 has been developing KPIs for testing impact categories such as usability, effectiveness and more, with respect to the HS4U solution.  Important collaborations have been undertaken throughout this process.  An outcome of these collaborations has also been the publication of the book entitled: The Blue Book: Smart sustainable coastal cities and blue growth strategies for marine and maritime environments, by Dr. Stamatina Th. Rassia of Le.D.R.A. Group, which appeared internationally by Springer in 2024.

On the latest updates front, the Blue Book has received wide publicity in Greek media and LEDRA – as the Leader of WP5 – has engaged in discussions for the potential collaboration of the Hellenic Navy with HS4U. Furthermore, the certified ISO container that will host the HS4U “Robot Cabin” has been purchased by TSIKIS. Additional activities to identify the most appropriate area in which the 3-month HS4U experimentations will take place have been carried out by LEDRA, TSIKIS and ABS.

COLUMBIA BLUE and CELESTYAL have established over the course of the project a close collaboration with the WP5 Leader and related technology partners. The 1-week of environmental recordings will be undertaken within a ship of CELESTYAL cruises. In the following months, several more activities will be taking place so stay tuned!
